Competition: Lufthansa airlines limited edition World Cup amenity kit

The football World Cup is soon upon us, and with that comes the inevitable merchandise deluge.

lufthansa airlines

In addition to repainting eight of their planes with “Fanhansa” livery (NB the German sense of humour is not world-renowned), one of Lufthansa airlines’ offerings is a limited edition World Cup amenity kit (for those not familiar with airline speak, “amenity kits” are the toiletries etc bag you’re given on an aeroplane – see picture above – and are often very popular collector’s items).

To enter, simply leave a comment in the section below*. The competition will close at 11:59:59pm Malta time on Friday 13 June, and the winner will be notified by email (you do not need to leave your email address in the comment section, it will be privately shown to me when you leave your comment).

As a die-hard England fan, the German livery is not hugely endearing. I trust it will go to someone who appreciates it a little more…

Particular thanks to MaltaPoints stalwart DW for sourcing the prize.

*While this is a free-to-enter competition, to comply with Maltese lottery law, the randomly picked winner will be asked a “skill based” question in order to claim the prize.

  1. I saw one of the “Fanhansa” planes when I landed at Heathrow a couple of days ago – confused me a little!

After a couple of years of reading this blog I’ve finally made the long journey over to visit Malta. Arriving in a couple if days and very excited!

  2. Cool. Would be nice, since I never get a chance to fly in a class that offers Amenity kits. And Tucson is working on becoming a US Soccer hot spot with “Futbol” spring training here. (and an nationally televised clip of a bicycle clip by an FC Tucson player)

  3. Well, maybe if Germany has already qualified by the time the US pays them in the “Group of Death” and the US has been able to find a win somewhere (Ghana?), or a couple of ties, Herr Löw will have his team play gently to avoid injuries and the US may have a chance of making it through to the Round of 16.

What I’d *really* like to see, though, is a Germany-Holland final. (I was hoping for that in 2010, but Spain got in the way.)

  4. I would love to win this bag and give it to my brother who is an avid supporter of German soccer. Fingers crossed

  5. Many thanks for all your entries and for reading MaltaPoints. The Random Number Generator picked number 16 from the 17 entries, so the prize went to Hayley.
