Peak Malta-Sicily ferry returns – €84 adults, €39 for under 24s
Virtu Ferries, the high speed ferry service between Malta and Sicily (Pozzallo), has just released details of a “Super Peak Season Offer” for July and August.
In short, returns are available for over 25s at €84, and under 25s at €39.
Key conditions are as follows:
- Valid for Tuesday day returns
- Valid for non-day returns where travel is on a Thursday, Sunday or Monday
- Available on “selected trips” only: this is not as bad as it first sounds, it simply means that while it is available on all the days mentioned above, it may not be available on all the sailings on that day
The most important point is that the discounted fares are not available online. You will need to telephone Virtu Ferries on +356 22069022 to make the booking at the discounted rate.
While the €84 adult rate for the Malta Sicily ferry is reasonable, if you are under 25, a €39 return is a very good deal.
