London Heathrow – free airport lounge access (plus £10/$17 off premium lounge)

It’s London Heathrow lounge access bonanza day today.

free lounge access

First of all, the new Regus Express business lounge at Terminal 5 is offering a free day pass, you just need to sign up here.

Secondly, the new Plaza Premium lounge at Terminal 2A is offering £10 ($17) off entry and a free – ahem –  five minute massage. You simply need to book your visit here and use the promo code LHROO2014.

For more information on the Regus business lounge, click here.

Even with the £10 ($17) discount, the Plaza Premium lounge does not come cheap, with prices as follows:

  • 2 hours £35.60 ($48)
  • 5 hours £56 ($77)
  • 10 hours £91.60 ($99)

Whether it’s worth the money even with the discount is up to you (and should depend on your proximity to Terminal 2A and alternative options, of course), but their sales pitch makes impressive reading:

Our presence in London Heathrow will be a flagship for all our future developments in Europe. The sleek, contemporary interiors have been designed by Hong Kong star designer Kinney Chan of KCA Associates. The generous and welcoming space includes: private relaxation rooms; luxurious shower rooms; a Wellness Spa with an exclusive treatment menu by ILA – the British organic spa brand – created with the traveller in mind; a tapas bar, a Champagne Bar – with a wide variety of vintage and non-vintage brands to choose from; as well as a generous selection of freshly-made food and drinks.

We will also be introducing a British celebrity chef to create a daily menu for our guests on the move. All of these superb facilities will be underpinned by our service philosophy which, with 16 years’ experience caring for travellers, is at the core of what we do.

  1. Worth noting that this lounge is landside, not airside, and on the arrivals concourse.

Given that you are flown off your flight if you do not clear security at T5 within 35 minutes of departure, it has only limited use when flying out of the airport.

  2. A pop up appears after I entered all the info to get free lounge access for T5, but nothing in the pop up..its empty..I tried multiple browsers. Anything I may be doing wrong? is it limited for UK residents only or can Us residents going to Heathrow can also try it?

    1. Noted – it seems to be down at the moment (the “blank pop up” issue happened to me with a UK address when I attempted it just now).

Nothing to suggest it’s limited to UK residents, although when it goes live again you can always use a randomly generated UK address.

If you need a pass ASAP, I suggest you contact their customer services and let them know the issue: http://www.regus.co.uk/customer-service/contact-us.aspx

I will also flag it to them.
